Some vacation kings have too much a look at a defect

With my personal inventory, I thought how nice it is that I was less and less upset in life.

Ha! Then a situation comes around the corner and reminds me of something that I completely forgot!

Nowadays, every vacationer on the Internet can complain on various portals. Sometimes that has really bad consequences for hoteliers and organizers! The so -called vacation kings have too much power and they are not always right. What makes you always look at the lack?

The other day was sitting in the beautiful sauna of the hotel in the Erzgebirge , where it is pointed out friendly and nicely, please do not have to fill. And of course the loungers were constantly occupied with human bodies that slept on it, read, stuck on their loungers and if they were not occupied, they were covered with towels and bags.

So suddenly this topic found me again last night. A topic that I've always been extremely excited about!

As a hotelier daughter, tour operator in the desert and theater director, I have a lot to do with people.
I always experience this small -scale human thinking! Especially with Germans, the view of the lack is very popular!

Tripadvisor & Co! Vacation kings can be ambushed here!

An employee had recently bought and read all the reviews about the hotel in the Ore Mountains.

Perhaps some are not even aware of how much the hotel and restaurant industry has been suffering from the Corona measures for two years?

  • On. Then suddenly again.
  • Then short -time work allowance. So that the health insurance companies can be fed further and everyone can remain insured.
  • Then rebuild measures everywhere.
  • New concepts for buffets and kitchen and all of this costs!
  • Employees who are constantly missing because they have Corona or migrate!
  • And increasing energy prices must also be paid.

Who still wants to work in the hotel industry today?
All new rules must be implemented.

And quite a few have put all their savings into their companies so as not to go under and many are still going.
A guest said to me the other day: Yes, yes, the hotels have all become quite expensive. They can cost something!

When I scroll through different portals, I could only shake my head (is mildly expressed!).
At such moments I would like to put people on their heads, appeal to their brain and
keep their nose into their smart -chot -like reviews on the net!


The hotel had just opened a few days (finally! Saxony had to wait a long time for the reopening for a very long time!)
The employees and the owner had started so many improvements and even embellished everything extremely,
when everything was closed. You have to have this courage!

For example, you could write what is nice, but no! That goes without saying and it only falls to what is not perfect, what is missing and what you could improve.

Why is it so important to man that seemingly bad to put bad ones in the light?

What satisfaction does that give you?

Here are a few extracts from the network:

The staff seemed to be overwhelmed ...

Hardly any sockets in the room ...

Was ok, but too expensive for the condition ...

No kettle in the room ...

It is noisy ...

TV reception was dependent on the weather ...

Impossible! 3 euros for bathrobe extra (the high -quality sauna is included in the price and the guest is pointed out when booking and can of course bring his own bathrobe and sauna) ...

Pillows are bad ...

The deduction in the bathroom was defective ...


Vacation in the desert

Absurd complaints in the desert hotel :

there was dust/ sand in the room ...
The beer was not cool enough ...
Si e said it starts at 9:00 a.m. ... Now it's already 9:30 a.m.

There are sandstorms in the desert and are there actually people who get upset that the fine
Saharasand comes in through the cracks of the hotel facility? And that there is no cool beer?

HELLO?!! Is it actually still possible ??

What I personally love desert travel is the challenge of getting in touch with unpredictable situations.
It is this kind of trips that you will never forget! Nature forces us to humility and indicates the rhythm.
That scratches some egos!

The guest is king and many think: So now I have the scepter in my hand!

Why do we German always have a hint to others how they could do better.
How to put your car right (this happens to me more often).
Since I was and am abroad a lot, I kept perceiving this mentality when I came back to my German home.

Especially in Schwabenländle, everyone seems to have the right to keep up signs,
and to say what is possible and what is not.

And this bad cut in our society to throw out his opinion anonymously everywhere and thus blackmail hoteliers and organizers, has become the "after-recreation sport" of some families.

I have to admit that I am the first to complain to the waiter when something doesn't taste good or something else. This is really the case too! This is the only way to get improvements. But I make that out directly with the waiter, the cook- just on site and not on the net, where I can harm the hotel and the people who work there a lot!

Direct complaints can lead to improvement even without that I would have to speculate on a "forces".

And that is so often behind it!

For nothing, discounts and bargains!
(I once wrote and played a wonderful early piece program in my theater).

The power of the guest is shamelessly exploited

What did hoteliers not have to swallow!
Guests have carried carpets, bathrobes, pictures, room decorations, among other things from the hotel in their suitcases
and although the hotelier knew that, he couldn't do anything about it!

Why not?

Because he knows about the guest's power and he will ultimately have more damage!

Once I was sitting in the hotel on Sicily by the sea at breakfast. A huge breakfast buffet was built there ...
On the buffet there is a sign where the guest is kindly asked not to take anything from the buffet.
And if so, he can do that at a small surcharge.

But somehow the otherwise read vacationer doesn't read that.

In any case, I sit there and didn't think I was trusted! Then a woman grabbed 12 cakes for her 4-member families and smeared 12 bread for the day.

The yogurt and mueslisnacks came in the tuber bowl brought with them.

I could no longer hold myself and politely drawn attention to the fact that you shouldn't do that.
(I pretended to be a guest) and went around the corner briefly. When I came back, she was away with her backpack full of daily provisions.

This injustice of the self-proclaimed vacation king is extremely annoying to me !!

We forget the customs of other cultures and that we are guests!

Why do we rice again?

Isn't it the same because we want to experience other cultures and other customs?

And is it not part of the fact that we should adapt to the respective country than vice versa?

These are the challenges that invite us to grow and to tickle our adventure soul. And isn't it exactly these stories that we love to tell at the regulars' table?

The unpunctual bus, the waiting and the realization that in other countries there is a 10 -minute delay in other countries.

A little story on the way into the desert

On the way there I was sitting at a taxi rank and waiting for 5 hours for a collective taxi,
which, according to the plan, was supposed to come in half an hour.

Was I angry? Bored?

At first I was annoyed. Clear! But then I did my breathing and presentation exercises. I always do that when I have to wait somewhere. And I spoke to a few people, watched with hands and feet and small scenes.

When I'm on the go in Morocco, I deliberately only have WiFi and no mobile network.
It is precisely because I don't want to be tempted to have my view of this small part for hours.

Is a landscape boring? Sometimes yes. But when you dive deeper, you discover something in it. Always. Even in the stone desert!

A Sicilian visiting Berlin

A friend from Sicily who was in Berlin. Often now, but when she came back for the first time,
I asked her what was most impressed by Berlin?

You: I stood on the television tower in the evening and all cars drove in a line! All headlights in one line! Not like in Palermo, where everyone is messing up and the purest chaos prevails.

And she told me that it was so cold and she stood at the stop with her German friend and they were waiting for the bus.
It was totally icy. The timetable said that the bus arrives at 6:52 p.m. When the bus arrived at 7 p.m.,
a woman scolded so much about this bus, who was sooooo very delayed!

She was stunned. She told me: You know that we are never a bus or train on time and we look forward to it when it comes.
And everything was iced here and the bus that came anyway! Imagine Nora! The bus came!

Appreciate traveling and behave as guests in other cultures as guests

What we could also appreciate is the view of our country. And the joy that it is here as it is.
Or an inspiration for a different way of thinking that we take with us and integrate into our lives.

There are so many treasures that can be discovered.
If you want. If you are open to it.
That's how it is with traveling!
I decide beforehand that I
would like to experience something beautiful or personally valuable or interesting for myself. I place my mind on it.
As a rule, I will do that too. And sometimes happiness is deceptive and not immediately apparent.
That is also part of it! We have experiences in life and when traveling.

I unpack gifts after the return trip at the latest and sometimes much later!

Because everything that didn't work, as I “imagined” it, can be an apprenticeship for me.
The apprenticeship, for example, that when I push the curtain aside of my ideas aside,
I open the room for circumstances that I had never dreamed of before.

A deep gratitude comes over! I can be here! I can go on vacation! The hotels are up!

We can be so grateful that an industry that was incredibly shaken in recent years, we have been available again in recent years and we can travel and spend the night after two years, with all the comfort!

I hope that guests also write something good and beautiful online!
Because I experience the many compliments of extremely satisfied and appreciative guests every day!

There are also these guests! Paradoxically, these are not on Tripadvisor & Co and do not write any reviews.
I personally think that's a shame! Because the same is man: too often the lack of the lack, too often on what is missing.
I would like to raise awareness of the power of words on such pages! And on the fortense for little things
that you really don't have to put on the net!

We have learned that life can go differently from now on! And I appeal for support and
the spread of positive vibes!
In general, we should all praise and thank each other much more. Courtesy open the doors and a smile the hearts!
