How I became, what I am: my path of the dancer to the heart opener and mentor for women

Heart opener and mentor - Nora Curcio
I am today. Heart opener and mentor. My real name is:
Eleonora Juliana Natascha Curcio

What we are today is the sum of the experiences we have had in life. The training,
encounters, embossing, friendships and matters of the heart. And of course our origin!
Everyone has their story and looking at mine, I see a courageous and curious woman
who is enthusiastic and extremely ambitious and that creates it, which she secretly dreams of.
The search for peace and a happy and fulfilling life has always been busy
and so the adventurer was awakened in me, whose longing for other cultures and distant countries,
takes up an important part in my life. And isn't it the "coincidences" in life that reveal the trace
that is already deeply created?

  1. 1971: Start in the John Cranko Ballet School in Stuttgart.
At the age of 7, my mother, who was once a ballerina herself at a young age,
sent me to this famous ballet school. I was fire and flame from the first moment when I entered the dance hall.
And as chance, my parents had
a lot of space in the upper sales rooms around the corner of the ballet school. So I spent many afternoons with myself, took steps
and pirouettes in front of the mirror and invented dances and stories. From then on, dancing accompanies me in all
    kinds of life.
Childhood: Ballet in the John Cranko Ballet School

  1. 1972: Home means commuting between Germany and Sicily .
My mother is a Prussian with Latvian roots and married a Sicilian, my father. He came
to Germany as a guest worker with DM 50 in his pocket in the late 1950s. They fulfilled the dream of a hotel in
my father's hometown and commute back and forth between Germany and Sicily.
My brother and I grew well -protected with my mother's sister who provided us while my
    parents worked.

My father, my grandma, my mother
(fresh in Sicily), and my father's niece.
Mixing cultures
is somehow in our genes.
  1. 1982: Sports and gymnastics teacher training and my secret life plan.
When I was 18, I had a permanent will to become a dancer in New York. I really wanted to go to this city
because I could learn modern and contemporary dance in the best schools there.
My building was not suitable as a ballerina. Thank God! Because in America I learned everything I
wanted to learn as a creative dancer. Because of the “training certificate”, I went to sports teacher training and trained in the evening
at a dance school in Stuttgart for my dream. A dream that I secretly dreamed and didn't share it with anyone.
I think because I didn't want someone to take him away, go away, or have anything else to say.
  2. 1985: actress or dancer? Yes what now?
    Further studies: drama school.
One day my show teacher said to me that I would have to decide what I want to be:
actress or dancer? With the cork in my mouth, for speech exercises, I commuted by car from one
passion to another. I then decided to dance.
Inside I said to myself, ok, you can also act with 40 ... What I did later!
New York: 3 years of training as a contemporary dancer and my first engagement as a dancer.
  1. 1987: New York. Finally! Dance training and variety of dance style without end!
As a little girl, I have always danced on the dance floor for "New York, New York" and
looked at the Westside story umpteen times! So it was clear that I
wanted to complete my dance training
Alvin Ailey American Dance Center and Martha Graham Danceeschhool And anyway! In New York at the time you could learn from the greatest teachers on every corner. I was in enthusiasm and learning fever for 3 years!
  2. 1989: First engagement in New York as a dancer .
I received my first engagement as a dancer from Nai Ni Chen , a Chinese-modern dance company in New York.
Your movement style style has shaped me a lot to this day. I learned from her how to use strength, energy,
choreographed and above all a lot about Asian movement art.
That later led me to the Tai Chi and other Asian martial arts such as Aikido and Tao Yoga.
Working with energy fascinates me to this day!
Nai Ni Chen is my greatest inspiration for movement and choreography.
Nai Ni Chen I meet again in New York in 2017.
Unfortunately, she died in 2021. It had the greatest influence in dance and body work in my life.
  1. 1993: Sinai: First encounter with the desert
My first desert trip leads me to the Sinai. There I am traveling with a friend from Germany,
two Bedouins, three camels and a goat that is later slaughtered to nourish us all the days.
12 days through the desert from place to place and sleep in the open air. Authentic travel and pure adventure!
From then on, countless desert trips begin for me.

I
travel a lot in the desert in Sinai until the birth of my child. Here I am 5 months pregnant.
The swings are good for me and my camel guide lovingly takes care of me.
  1. 1993: 6 months India: Vipassana, Osho and Yoga
My spiritual journey begins: a Buddhist monastery in Süddhailand, 10 days of silence and meditation.
Learn yoga in India, in Rischikesch, where I live all by myself for the first time in a large house in the mountains.
Coincidence? A book by Osho falls into my hands and just a few days later I sit on the train to Osho's Ashram.
I spend three months intensively with meditations, personality development and letting go of
    deeply seated conditioning.
A young woman sits in meditation attitude and is in peace with herself.
After 6 months on spiritual trips in India, I return to Germany in full peace
  1. 1994: Teacher for body work at the drama school
at the drama school, I teach for almost 20 years. In addition to dance, tai-chi and yoga, my experiences are
included in consciousness and body work. I love to see my student blossoming. I am also a mentor for them.
  2. 1995: Foundation of my own theater in Neckartailfingen .
The theater gallery (until 2020) and the birth of my son Lorin in 1996 shape my everyday life between the stage,
events and mother's existence. We live and work in the same house. After 5 years together with my husband,
I run the theater gallery alone from 2000 with a really great team! And I learn a lot about lighting technology, advertising, graphics, etc.
Mother and son
1998: My son and I. He is with me everywhere. Even if I have appearances.
  1. 2000-2011: Cabbage prize, personal upheavals and new tasks
for my choreography "Hello", my colleague and I get first place in
    the cabaret award from Baden-Württemberg.
At the same time, my divorce is running and I become the organizer of festivals, organize concerts and promote
young artists. With a cruciate ligament rupture years later, I have a longer break from the stage and
start to offer culinary cultural events, with a topic -related cuisine and a suitable piece.
My kitchen is in demand and I love to offer Sicilian hospitality in Swabia.

I cook for weddings and concerts: Italian, Arabic, vegetarian and sometimes Swabian.
  1. 2012: Encounter with Morocco
A new heart history begins. Here in the Sahara I meet my soul home and experience beautiful
and painful. What I learn about myself later also becomes the subject of my mentoring for women.
My vision is: to have a permanent place in the desert. And so I start to offer trips and retreats for women
to the Sahara. I love this country from the bottom of my heart and look forward
to accompanying people through the desert through their personal transformation trip.
There is a happy woman in the desert camp in the Sahara.
2012 is my first trip to Morocco and it is an arrival in my soul home. According to my research from returning life, I have lived here quite often. And it feels the same.
  1. 2015: Healing and training as an Ayurvedic bodyworker .
India: Again at Osho! Here I take a very profound therapy and heal my depression and my heart.
Then the encounter with Shikha, a strict and loving master who
massages me during this hard time and "washes" my head. I start training as an Ayurvedic body worker.
Wounds create miracles and with my touches I open my hearts from then on, remove blockages and miracles happen ...!

In a small room I learn the great art of the Ayurvedic bodyworks.
  1. What am I today?
Today I would describe myself as a mediator of cultures, bodily wisdom, awareness and joie de vivre.
As a passionate energy liver and body worker, desert companion, heart opener,
dancer and traveler, I love to inspire people and to encourage them
to live their lives self -determined and authentically.
  2. 2022: Devotion to life and let go
let's see where the flow of life will continue to lead me.
For the past two years I have mainly lived and worked on Sicily.
In the many contacts with women I see myself increasingly in the role of the
mentor for personal development for women in the middle of life.
Women who want to come back into contact with themselves and want to experience life in its full strength
are in the right place for me. Here is an article about my work with women.

A woman is in the Saharawind and laughs. Your heart is fulfilled.
The desert is my personal place of power, where I can best perceive myself and my nomadic soul is at home.
