Sahara Caravan Journey
for Women

Morocco Desert Retreat for Women

This Morocco desert retreat for women is not just a journey through the Sahara.

Your journey begins in Marrakech, leading you through wild landscapes and unexpected places before you arrive in the silence of the desert.

This is not just a retreat or a usual women’s circle.
This women’s retreat in the Moroccan Sahara
is a real caravan journey back to what
is essential. A journey that invites you to
return to your true self.

I call it: Sehnsucht nach Ursprung

A real caravan journey through the vastness of the desert

Traveling with nomads and guided by
Nora and Maddo –
returning to the simple rhythm of the desert, which invites you to see life differently.

Walking with camels.

Sleeping under the stars.

Dancing in the desert wind.

Discovering  your essence and your feminity.

Return to what you have always been.

What awaits you on this desert journey

This journey invites you to reconnect with your feminine life energy, your inner freedom and the simple joy of being alive.

In the mornings
we begin the day with gentle Qigong and movement practices, awakening the body and opening our energy for the day.

In the afternoons
we explore dance and feminine movement, reconnecting with vitality, rhythm and the natural intelligence of the body.

The desert becomes a space where movement, silence and nature meet.

Unlike a short Sahara camel trek, this journey allows us to slow down and experience the desert in a deeper way.

We walk through the golden dunes together with desert nomads, moving in the quiet rhythm of the caravan.
Along the way we learn about their way of life, their humor and their wisdom. This experience invites us to see our own world with different eyes.

In the evenings
we gather around the fire beneath an endless sky of stars, sharing stories, laughter and delicious food.

Music is an important part of nomadic life, and these moments often turn into small celebrations. We listen, we dance and enjoy the magic of these thousand-anyone starry nights in the desert.

Our next journey into the desert

20 – 28 November 2026

A 8-day journey through Morocco,
including 5 days in the desert.
Your journey begins even before the desert…

Marrakech is our meeting point.

We recommend arriving one day before,
so you can settle in and gently prepare for the adventure ahead.

Is this journey for you?

You may feel drawn to this journey if you:

• long for a deeper connection with yourself

• love adventure, nature and wide open landscapes

• feel curious about nomadic culture

• enjoy movement, dance and the wisdom of the body

• learn from the nomads about happy living

• are ready to slow down and listen to the quiet voice within

Feel the call of the desert?

A journey back to your own strength

The Desert and the Encounter with Feminine Power

Many women come from a life in which they have learned to carry a heavy burden on their own.

Between work, responsibilities, family, and personal projects, a dynamic often emerges in which women—without consciously intending to—live very strongly in their active, “masculine” energy.

In the encounter with the desert and the life of the nomads, the clear masculine energy and natural leadership of the nomads as they guide us through the desert open up a space in which a woman’s own feminine energy can find its place.

Something begins to shift.

Through the simplicity of life, the sense of community, and the encounters with people who still live deeply connected to nature and their own rhythm, many women begin to feel their true nature again.

Here, women experience appreciation, calm, and a sense of being supported—something that is often missing in their everyday lives.

It is not only the dance, not only the movement, not only the conversations and laughter that allow them to look at life again with greater lightness and a more positive perspective.

And often, at the end of the journey, I hear a sentence that touches me again and again:

“I feel like a queen.”

They arrive with a quiet longing and leave with a renewed vitality and a different radiance.

They reconnect with their strength, their courage, and their self-love.

This journey is more than a journey through the desert.

It is a return to yourself.

Women who answered the call of the desert

„Three words to describe this journey: moving, life-changing, grateful.“

Tina-Maria, Journey March 2024

The people, and Nora, with her vibrant femininity, her laughter, and her presence; the Nomads team, with their mindfulness, their connection to the desert, and their humanity; as well as the encounters with such a diverse group of women and the most beautiful dromedaries—all helped shape this adventure, and many of them touched my heart deeply.

„I would do it again and again“

Petra, Journey February 2026

The desert grounded me and made me feel alive. Nowhere else have I ever felt this as strongly as in the vastness of the desert. Nora has an incredible presence and energy that inspires, reconciles, and heals, and has brought me a little closer to myself overall.
I am very grateful for this experience.
For me, it is exactly this combination that motivated me to take this journey a second time and I would do it again and again ❤️ Thank you for everything!

„On the fourth day, I finally felt like I had arrived“

Christina, Journey February 2026

It was an unforgettable experience for me, one I wouldn’t have wanted to miss.
Nora and her companions are a great team. I felt very safe and well taken care of in their hands.
We women had wonderful conversations, did yoga and tai chi, danced, and laughed a lot.
I rediscovered my inner peace, my self-confidence, and the feeling of being at peace with my body. It didn’t happen overnight. But on the fourth day, I finally felt like I had arrived.
Thank you so much, Nora, you are a wonderful woman 😘

„Returning from the Desert as a Queen“

Martina, Journey March 2026

Is it Nora? Is it the nomads? Or the magic of the desert?
It’s this unique combination that makes every trip with Nora and Maddo so special.
My very first trip touched me already deeply—but this second one was a real turning point in my life. 🤍
With her warm-hearted nature and deep connection to the land and its people, Nora opened the door to the desert for me. With her and her nomadic team, I didn’t feel like a guest, but rather like I was among friends—supported, cared for, and always in good hands.
With her powerful, authentic presence, Nora inspired me to get closer to my own feminine strength—and to return from the desert as a queen. 👑

„The abundance of vitality and warmth of the wonderful people.“

Carolin, Journey March 2023

The journey was an experience of the desert’s apparent emptiness and, at the same time, the abundance of vitality and warmth of the wonderful people.
Nora, your heartwarming zest for life, combined with creative chaos, allows one to immerse oneself in life from the heart; you are swept away as you dance.

„She encourages us to discover our own femininity, and perhaps to transcend our own limitations and simply be“

Manou, Journey March 2026

I set out on this desert journey with a vision … albeit a vague one.
And all it is wonderful: this endless expanse, the incredible number of stars… and just as fascinating are the new inner worlds I’ve had the chance to explore—my own expansiveness, my own limits, pausing, letting go, moving forward.

Nora’s enthusiasm for this country, its people, and its culture is so palpable and contagious. Through interaction, dance, and movement, she encourages us to discover our own femininity, and perhaps to transcend our own limitations and simply be… Thank you for this adventure!
Warm regards!

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be very fit to join the journey?
No. This caravan is not a sport challenge. We walk slowly in the rhythm of the desert. Breaks are natural, and there are always possibilities to ride a camel.

How demanding is the trekking?
We walk about three hours a day. For healthy women with a normal level of fitness this is very manageable. Openness to nature and simplicity is more important than athletic performance.

What happens if I feel overwhelmed during the journey?
You will not be left alone. The pace can be adjusted, and riding a camel is always possible. The journey follows the rhythm of the group.

How do we sleep in the desert?
During the trekking days every woman has her own tent or can choose to sleep in a shared tent. Those who wish can also sleep under the stars. Mattresses are provided; you bring your own sleeping bag.

Will there be time for myself?
Yes. Retreat and quiet time are part of the experience. You are always free to rest, write, walk or simply enjoy the silence.

What about hygiene and toilets?
Outside the desert there are normal bathrooms. In the desert things are simple and nature-based. You will receive clear guidance so that you feel comfortable.

Are there snakes or scorpions?
We travel in a season when snakes are normally not active. Scorpions are rarely encountered.

Do I have to participate in dancing?
No. The movement sessions are invitations, not obligations. There is no technique required — only openness to explore your body and expression.

Is the journey spiritual?
The journey is grounded and natural. There is no dogma and no religion involved. Through silence, movement and the desert atmosphere, many women experience moments of depth and connection.

What happens if I get sick?
In case of illness it is always possible to leave the desert by jeep.

Is travel insurance required?
Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel and health insurance before joining the journey.

Is this journey right for me?
If you feel the call of the desert and something inside you responds to it, it is very likely the right journey.

If you expect hotel comfort or a typical wellness holiday, this experience may not be the right fit.
