The liberation after the mucking out

It's amazing what inner forces are released when you consistently clean up.
I already know that when I'm back in my German homeland, I'll continue there.
Tataaa and even with great joy!
Many, many years ago, my mother gave me a feng shui book entitled: Against the Clutter of Everyday Life.
I swear, as soon as I lay comfortably in bed and started reading the book, I got up the same night to clean out my closet.
I'm so thankful! How long have I waited for this inner jolt within me.

By train to the Ore Mountains

After traveling so much over the past two years, I've decided to give up my car.
And I have to say, it's lovely without a car!
All the objections I had have turned out to be unfounded. I enjoy train rides.
Even if German punctuality no longer exists at German train stations. Adventure Welcome!
The only thing that annoys me is that my suitcase is always too full. I always think when I'm packing that I need all these books.
And my experience is actually this: I don't read on vacation anyway. But I don't even go on vacation. I drive to work. What a tricky mind!

Bye Germany and Ciao Bella Sicilia

From Dresden by bus to Berlin to the airport.
So easy and practical and I really like the airport in Berlin! Then in the late evening I have a delayed flight to Palermo.
My friend Mirella picks me up at night from the airport and we drive her car to Cefalù in the countryside!
Yay! I am back at home. The mornings are always incredibly magical for me here in the country! Here I write. Here I meditate, do yoga and dance exercises.

We celebrate life here.
It's finally time to realize that! So, one night's sleep and then we're off to the festival! Uahhhh I'm so happy!!

Africa meets Sicily: SABADAO – the dance festival

What a morning!
My girlfriend and I pack our bags to go to the African dance festival SABADAO. Just 50 minutes away is Sant Agata di Mitello, where the festival takes place in the countryside near Giardino di Sicilia.
The owners of this idyllic property are Margherita Calderone, a Sicilian who lived in Germany for many years, and her husband Reginaldo Da Silva from Brazil. They have created a small, very fine, authentic oasis under olive and orange trees and made their location available. Both are also dancers and teachers of Kizomba and Semba.

The hostess was Eliza Sala , a well-known Kizomba dancer originally from Angola, the country where Kizomba originated.
With her African team, she had created exactly what Kizomba means in Africa: festival, games, dance, entertainment.
Other dances were Semba and all African dances that we danced freely or laughing in a circle. From Wikepedia: “ Semba is the progenitor of various styles of music originating Africa kizomba and kuduro (or kuduru , energetic, fast-paced Angolan techno / house music, ).”

I want to live where people dance and laugh

It was an overwhelming celebration!
With so much warmth, love and Sicilian-African-Brazilian hospitality. I've always said that I want to live in a country where people dance.
that I would find this attitude to life here in my second home on Sicily! It was what you imagine a party to be in the Sicilian countryside!

Many think that the Sicilians are fun-loving people who dance and have fun.
From my observation, that has changed and is no longer entirely true.
At least I find a Sicilian wedding very boring, where it's all about food and gifts and a lot of money is spent on clothes, hair and looks.
However, that is another story.
Because here, too, the traces of a generally sluggish society have arrived. It was all the more surprising for me to meet dancers from other parts of Sicily and from Switzerland, where enthusiasm is alive. How nice to know that there are like-minded people all over the world.

I am firmly convinced that we Europeans need the playfulness and joie de vivre of Africans more urgently than ever!
No wonder Kizomba is so celebrated and enthusiastically received worldwide!
Away from the cell phone, away from the TV and get moving! If your heart doesn't jump open, then I don't know what is...

Thanks for all the laughter and I'm already looking forward to the next time it's called SABADAO!

Arrivvooooo!!!

So now we continue with BoomBoomBlog, the blog challenge

This will be followed immediately on May 23, 2022 with Judith Peters' blog challenge.
That means blogging for a week about a topic that you specify.
And over 1400 people are there. I think only women.

What a topic!

How I became what I am

This question and the research of my past took a lot of time.
What's great about this process is the clarity that emerges.
Who am I?
Where do I come from?
Where is my red thread?
And what am I today?
My article about it is here.

In the end I hit the publish button and I'm super proud of my result!
If I hadn't participated in this, I probably wouldn't have finished this work.
My recommendation are ALL courses with Judith Peters !
It was still worth not having bathed in the sea!

May ends with a fulfilled feeling of having arrived, with deep gratitude and so much happiness that
sometimes I have to jump up from my desk and yell Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo down out!
I celebrate life!
